A Japanese legend says that once upon a time lived a happy man who got from his father a invaluable knowledge- knowledge of the point of longevity or point of hundred diseases.

Following the guidelines of his father, the son was massaging this point on daily bases and experienced the birth and death of several emperors. Massaging points is one of the oldest methods of treatments in the East, which has been several thousand years. In total, human body has 365 points and 12 major meridians, which is reminiscent of the amount of days and months of the year.

The operations of such massage (acupressure, finger pressure on specific points), is based on the teachings of the meridians and channels that are associated with certain organs. In Chinese medicine, the body is seen as energy system, so therefore with massage you can affect flow of energy and functional activity of organs.

Activating the point Zu San Li gives you rejuvenating and healing effect and prevents aging. In China, this point is known as –“point of longevity”, in Japan –“point of hundred diseases”. Where is the magic point (Zu San Li) in our body? Point of longevity lies beneath the kneecap.

To find it, cover the knee with the palm of the same hand. Point is located between the ends of the little and ring finger, in form of a small depression between the bones. WDU you can find it in a different way. Sit on the floor, feet firmly pressed to the floor and pull them toward you, not rising your feat of the floor. You can notice that below the knee is formed elevation. Find the highest point of the hill, and put your finger on it and take the starting position. The point at which you pressed your finger is the point-Zu San Li.  For what is responsible this point in our body and why Japanese call it the point of hundred diseases?

Point Zu San Li: controls the work of organs which are located in the lower half of the body- controls the operations of the spinal cord in the parts that are responsible for proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, digestive tract, sexual organs, kidneys, adrenal glands. With the help of massage points Zu San Li can increase the activity of the adrenal glands, most powerful glands that act as the main guardian of human health.

They secrete into the blood adrenaline, hydrocortisone and other important hormones. If you use daily massage “point of longevity” it is possible to normalize the adrenal glands, which perform the following functions in the body: – normalization of blood pressure – normalization of glucose, insulin- the suppressions of inflammatorily processes in the body- regulation of human immune function. Also, massaging point Zu San Li you can:- improve digestion- to treat diseases of the  gastrointestinal tract- to treat the consequences of stroke, massaging this points will help you gain confidence to overcome stress and tension, and find inner stability. Massaging this point can cure many illnesses, including impotence, hiccups, constipation, gastritis, urinary incontinence. To large extent increases immunity, one becomes fit and healthy for life. It is better if you do this massage in the morning, before lunch. 9 times in a circular motion in a clockwise direction on each leg, alternating (9 times on one, and 9 times on the other).  So 10 minutes in total.  Before you start make your save comfortable and relaxed. Calm your breathing and concentrate on you fillings.

Immerse yourself in a state of harmony and so therefore begin you healing process. This massage has a stimulating effect. You can massage yourself with fingers or with any type of grain cereals (buckwheat, oats, rice, etc.)  Also you can put on this point cut in half clove of garlic and leave it for 1-2 hours (until the skin turns red). Daily massaging in the evening is suitable for weight loss-400-500 grams per week.

But do not massage directly before bed that may cause insomnia. Before lunch, alternately on each leg, clock-wise, to improve the general tone, memory and work of cardiovascular and digestive tract. After lunch do the massage synchronized on  both feet, anti-stress, nervousness and irritability, headaches and sleep disturbances. In the evening, massage yourself in the opposite direction clockwise, alternately on each leg, to increase metabolism and weight loss.
